Top menu >> Users >> Staff groups
Staff groups provide three main benefits. The most important function is to provide an alternative to just roles for defining access to processes for staff. Second is to allow users to have multiple dashboards. Finally it may also be used to do things to multiple staff at once. A staff user can belong to none, one, or many groups.

Staff groups can be added to processes just like roles and share the same permission options that roles have per process. When determining what access a staff user has to a process the system will look at their role and all groups they belong to and give them the highest access specified.
Example: A staff user belongs to a role with no access to the “Order” process. However group A they are in has “Start own, hide others” and group B they are in has “Read all”. RPM thus considers that user to have “Start own, read others” access.
